How Our Courses Works

Nuts and Bolts

We email your study materials one module at a time. All materials are supplied in a pdf format so you can save them to your computer and work through them at your own pace. You can also print sections off if you wish. You do not need to be connected to the Internet to work through your study materials. Each module includes exercises to complete and a tutor-marked assignment.

You are assigned a personal tutor who you can contact at any time if you have questions or there is anything you would like to discuss in more depth. You work through each module at your own pace, completing the exercises as you go. At the end of each module you complete an assignment which is designed to develop your understanding of Play Therapy Skills.

Each course runs for 8 weeks, with 4 modules of study material and 4 tutor-marked assignments.

How Our Online Courses Work

When you have completed your assignment you email it to your tutor. He or she will send your next module immediately. Your tutor will also mark your assignment and return it with feedback within 2 days. If you fail an assignment, you can improve it and re-submit it.

On successful completion of your course you will be awarded a Certificate of Course Completion

Why Online Study?

Online learning is an effective, flexible way to learn. It means that you study at a distance from your tutor rather than in a classroom. You can access study material and tutorial support at a time to suit you, so it’s easy to fit study around family and work commitments.

What is Included in the Course Fee?

The course fee covers everything you need to complete your course, including complete study material and full tutorial support.

*Please note these guidelines only apply to the two online courses supplied by Borders – Play Therapy Skills and Promoting Emotional Intelligence and Resilience. For full information on courses supplied by other learning providers, please see their individual pages.
